Obtaining[]

Dialog

Hello, more haste, less speed. We haven't been able to flatter Elturt, but as she doesn't seem too belligerent there must be some way of sorting something out with her to obtain the Fogornleg Horn. We need to get to know her better, which means getting advice of an animal specialist. There are several in Sufokia but the best suited would be Oshimo, I think. He's responsible for the Kennel north of Sufokia. Make your investigations as subtle as possible, rushing things won't work there either.

Accept the mission.

Step 1:Animals Are Our Friends Too[]

Amayiro wishes to know more about Elturt. Oshimo, the guardian of the Kennel, will surely have more information about the turtle.

Dialog

A delivery man made a mistake and gave me four times the amount of healing powder for pets and petsmounts that I asked for. I thought I'd make the most of it and and now I'm selling it for 1,000 Kamas a pop. A special price, my friend...

Ask for more information about Elturt.

Elturt? The name rings a bell. It's a turtle, by any chance? I want to help you but i return I'll need you to do me a favour. A small fire Bwak is currently trapped on a piece of land and he is afraid to cross the few meters that separate it from the shore. If you save it, I will tell you what I know about Elturt. Oh, by the way, you will probably need a climbing rope to reach the piece of land the Bwak is trapped on.

End dialogue.

  • Save the Fire Bwak north of the Kennel
Get a Climbing Rope and go to (11, 19). Stand in the top left corner, closest by the island, then talk to Fire Bwak.

Say that the Bwak has been delivered.

In fact, it happened a moment ago and I thank you on his behalf. You helped me so now it's my turn to help you. Elturt is a very old, very wise turtle. He was thrown into the Amakna sewers when he was very young. After a time spent rubbing shoulders with Sphincter Cell and having defeated Herr Palp Itane in the Cania Marathon of 532 he was swept away by floodwaters during the great flood of 540 and beached on the Wabbit Islands, which were inhabited by the Lenalds at the time. Having failed to stem the Wabbit invasion, he swam all the way over to Moon Island. There, ashamed of his failure and being alienated by the other turtles, he went deep into the jungle alone and has lived as a hermit until now. They say he developed special powers down in the sewers and that he has spent centuries perfecting his fighting techniques. According to the latest rumours, he could be the guardian of a powerful magic horn...but I don't really pay much attention to gossips.

As for more details on the Lenalds.

The Lenalds lived on what are now the Wabbit Islands. They were pacifists and could not resist the invading Wabbits who used all kinds of strategies to exterminate them and seize their lands. Only a handful of Lenalds have survived the massacre and they still live to the south of Cawwot Island.

Ask for more information about Herr Palp Itane.

Herr Palp Itane was a Wabbit who once challenged Elturt during the Cania marathon. Unfortunately, his arrogance and over-confidence led him straight to defeat. He never got over the humiliation inflicted by Elturt and so followed the migration of his kind to the Lenald Island where he had some semblance of revenge when he was again confronted with Elturt. Although very old now, there remains great power within him which, according to some rumours, is the result of a pact with darkness. For my part, I cannot see Rushu or one of his henchmen having a pact with a Wabbit, no matter how powerful it is. All the same, after a failed coup d'etat he took refuge on Gravestone Island to avoid the wrath of the Wa Wabbit, which proves that he is not so powerful after all.

Leave.

Step 2: Everybody Loves Lenald[]

Elturt has rubbed shoulders with Lenalds in the past. The Lenalds who live at the south of Cawwot Island, might still remember him
