At the start of the fight, Brutatax casts the spell Offringold, which causes Brutatax and any character that hits her to gain 100% power, infinitely stackable. When Brutatax reaches half health, every hit on her will cause her to gain 500 shield points (weapons and spells with multiple damage pools witll cause her to gain multiples of 500 shield points). Between 2 and 3 turns after this, she will cast Nonoub Noskam, removing all the shields she has gained and all the power bonuses from herself and each character that hit her, followed by recasting Offringold. This will repeat as long as she is alive.
Taking her range and movement points can be useful to prevent Brutatax from dealing any damage to you and your team. Unbuffed, Brutatax deals little damage. However, she will gain a power bonus each time you hit her, so over time she can begin to deal some serious damage. When she reaches half health and begins gaining shields, use single damage pool spells and weapons to minimize the amount of shields she gains. Alternatively, use only high-base damage spells on buffed characters to deal enough damage to pierce the shields she gains or have a character that can reliably unbewitch the shield bonus.
