Butt Ugly

Step One

At your starting point (at the statue of the Sacrier goddess) speak with Guy San Nolan. He will advise you to go see Saketsu and will give you a compass reading to follow. You will need to make your way to the butcher's shop at (0, -15). Enter and speak with Taketsu. The conversation will result in him asking you to punch him as hard as you can. Go ahead and punch him as it will result in him giving you the task.

Step Two (The fur will fly!)

Offer you services to Taketsu when he speaks about spooky things happening in the town. He will then tell a story about an Enutruf that has been turned into a dark miner and instruct you to go and see Nibe Lulle the alchemist who will give you a syringe. With the syringe you are supposed to get some of the dark miner's blood and return it to Nibe Lulle who will "know what to do with it." Accept the task and leave and a new compass reading will be given to you.

Step Three (There's blood ahead!)

Follow your compass to (4, -18) where you will find the alchemist's shop. Enter and speak with Dragonsly (the name difference is not explained). A brief discussion will yield you the syringe and add a compass reading to the inn where the dark miner is drinking.

Step Four (Beat monster: x1 Radlu Minite the Dark Minor(sic) in one fight)

Follow the compass heading to (5, -17) and enter the inn. Radlu is sitting at a table just in front of you. Speak to him and proceed to "Start to fight and steal his blood." The fight will be rather easy as, though he is level 3 he is also presumably drunk and therefore most of his attacks are critical failures. Beating him will gain you the blood sample.

Step Five (Bring to Dragonsly: x1 Dragonsly's Syringe)

Return to the alchemist's shop at (4, -18) and give the blood sample to Dragonsly. He says that he "will send the results of my research to your master."

Step Six (Talk again to Saketsu)

Follow your compass back to the butcher's shop. Enter and speak with Taketsu. He will tell you that Dragonsly was unable to find anything in the blood. He will then tell you to go and talk to Joe Pierlivet.

Step Seven (Talk to Joe Pierlivet)

Travel to (6, -19) to find Joe Pierlivet and speak with him. Offer you services for the underpasses. He will speak vaguely of strange happenings but then shut himself up before he says too much. He ends by saying that he will "call ya when he needs ya."

Final Step (Talk again to Saketsu)

Return once again to the butcher's shop at (0, -15) and speak with Taketsu. Based on your conversation with Joe Pierlivet, Saketsu determines that the Enutrufs have awakened an evil creature under the city. He tells you to return to the underpasses to find out what is going on. Accepting this instruction ends the quest.
