Dungeon Rusher is a type of event periodically organized by Ankama.
One or more bosses will be selected, and for a period of time (usually the duration of a weekend), they will drop a special Ceremonial Shield. (Before the 2.42 update, the shields were given out after the event by Ankama; now they drop from the fights like normal items.) These shields are linked to the account, and do not drop if the character already has the same shield in their inventory. Bosses must be defeated in their dungeons; fights in the arena will not drop the shield.

There have also been special dungeon rushers where more than one boss is made available over a longer period of time. Usually these have been previously available shields, with the exception of the Soft Oak Shield introduced for the first time in the Wakfu Kickstarter Dungeon Rusher.
