Despite the official website indications the damage reduction effect does not seem to be applied.

This spell only affects allied monsters (excluding the caster).
The real amount of HP restored by the spell is affected by the caster's characteristics.
The level gap of the spell corresponds to the level gap of its caster. The higher the level of the caster is, the higher the level of the spell will be.
