When I left my post at Brakmar to join the Order Errant, I never thought I'd see a city with so many unsolved murders. Such a paradise existing separate from the World of Twelve is a real godsend for a judicial anthropologist. Each day brings more cadavers and new investigations. It's so exciting!
I didn't want to seem opportunistic to you, you've just removed a big thorn from my side. More and more reports are coming to us stating that there have been Necrotick attacks. Normally, because they're scavengers, they only attack living creatures if they feel threatened. That's why Sergeant Resaca is counting on me to find out the reason for the attacks.
Initially, I needed to find out more about the Necroticks. Luckily, your reputation as a fighter precedes you, which is why I'm suggesting you be the one to take samples from the different types of these creatures and their eggs. Only an in-depth scientific study can give me the answers I need.

Step 1: Epidemiology[]
- Kathy Brennan needs to study the Necroticks to find out why they're so aggressive.
- These steps can be done in any order. You must bring all 8 samples at once to update the quest (4 dropped and 4 from clickable elements).
- Take 1 Healthy Scoliopode Sample to Kathy Brennan (Srambad)
- Take 1 Healthy Trechepeira Sample to Kathy Brennan (Srambad)
- Take 1 Healthy Sculucanus Sample to Kathy Brennan (Srambad)
- Take 1 Healthy Amorphid Sample to Kathy Brennan (Srambad)
- These samples are 100% quest drops from the respective monsters in the Catacumbras.
- Take samples from some Necrotick eggs
- The eggs are found at , , and (in Srambad). You may be attacked by a single monster while collecting any of these samples.

Did Dr Brennan send you? From what I know, you've managed to get rid of several Necroticks in the same way that a tailor can get rid of 7 Moskitos in one fell swoop. I hope you can repeat that feat.
I've just this minute received a report from a special agent who's in over his head with the Necroticks. He can't get himself out of trouble, and by the time we've managed to mobilise an evacuation group here, it will be too late. If only that bloody Krosmachine hadn't packed up prematurely! Go down to the Catacumbras and secure the area to buy some time for the evacuation team. |

Sorry to involve you in this. Judging from your heavy breathing, I see you suffer from the same problem as me, though you're not as bad. As you can see, I can't move very far and the Necroticks are just waiting for me to fall so they can feast on my flesh.
I have on me a small experimental firebomb that I haven't been strong enough to use. Throw it into the flames, it should keep Necroticks far away as long as it burns. I hope that by the time it's died out, we'll have been rescued. |
