Industrial Espionnage is a quest.

Obtaining[]

Talk to Grampow at [-8,-5] in Eternal Rest.

Dialog

Step 1: Industrial Espionage[]

The rumours flying around are saying there's a mole who's infiltrated the Alloyance. Grampow wants you to find out.
  • Search the building, looking for clues
Click the sack of gold in the first room, the sack of kamas in the second room and the pair of rocks in the second room. You will receive 1 Synthetic Staruman Hair, 1 Sulphur Powder and 1 Wood Glue.
Dialog

Stop running around all over the place talking hot air. There must be some way for you to make yourself useful. The rest of us Enutoughs don't appreciate lazy bones.

Hand over the clues.

Most of these clues are as meaningless as your existence. And since you threw them into your bag any old how, they're all mixed up. There is one interesting thing, though: I wasn’t expecting to find Sulphur Powder there. Mixed with food, this stuff could decompose in the intestines, forming an odorous gas that smells a lot like rotting flesh. It was banned for human consumption last century by the Alliance for Prevention and then illegalised entirely by the Alliance of Laws.

Ask how the powder might have got in there.

You could ask someone from the Alliance of the Black Market, by they wouldn’t talk... No, there’s only one thing for it: you need to question all of Alloyance staff who are also in the Alliance of the Big Eaters. Ask them if they’ve seen or heard anything. You should meet them one by one so as not to interrupt their workflow.

Go to the Alloyance building.

Dialog

Hearty, spicy tubers: there’s no better way to restore your strength. Too bad the food isn’t free, eh? What are you doing here, anyway? The building is supposed to be closed to the public, and there are Strongboxers on guard at all times...

Ask questions about Sulphur Powder.

I’m going to stop you right there. I haven’t seen any since it was outlawed, and I have no idea if you can buy it through the Alliance of the Black Market. Pawpizza might know more. He imports Gobball Black Pudding from the Amaknian mainland.

Dialog

Two pizzas for the price of three...?! I’ve been had! I’m sick of those guys Enutroffing around! The Alliance of Taxes is a shambles! And now there’s an intruder wandering around our building! The bare-faced cheek of it! The ruddy world’s gone mad!

Ask questions about Sulphur Powder.

How should I know? The last time I saw any of that stuff, I didn’t even have hairs coming out of my ears! That’s how long ago it was! To be honest, I don’t even know if it was ever available on the Amaknian mainland. I don’t want to sound like a snitch, but one of my colleagues knew that time well. His name is Grumpaw. He’s old, wrinkly... hmm... How can I describe him more distinctly? Well, he’s one of the oldest members of the Alliance of Big Eaters. He works near here.

Dialog

Ahhh, today’s women are nothing compared to the ones of yore... And don’t get me started on the food! I’ve tasted it all: Trool specialities made with Apis, Cawwots and Cra meat; Chafer’s Pie with Dragon Pig milk; and best of all, my great-grandmother’s recipe for green beans in Sulphur Powder!

Latch onto his last comment.

Ain’t no prepubescent tourist gonna teach me what’s right and what’s wrong! I was gutted when I found out the powder was being banned. Back then, my brother worked for the Alliance of Finky Starts, and he was made redundant. Can you imagine what a drag it is for an Enutough to spend all day doing nothing?!

Return to the problem at hand without dwelling on the past.

I tried to smuggle some in a few years ago, with no luck. That’s why I was astonished when I heard that Parplepaw was on sick leave indefinitely following an attack of acute flatulitis. When I went to visit him, he had all the characteristic symptoms of young Enutoughs when they try mixing Sulphur Powder into their food for the first time.

Ask if he’s noticed anything else unusual.

Hmm... Well, the Alliance of Cooks hired a new kitchen hand who didn’t seem very good at his job, but that’s all. To keep everyone happy, Grampow offered to train him up as an engineer, since he seemed better suited to that. I ran into young Ravogado on the way over here, actually. He was headed for the room where our engineers work on their latest projects.

Talk to Olreka.
Dialog

Ow... My poor head...

Help him regain his balance.

I was just about to the lock the door when I sensed something behind me... All of a sudden, I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head, then nothing... I’ve only just regained consciousness, and I think my keys are missing!

  • Find the map: Project room
Go through the vault door behind Olreka.
Dialog

Who are you? What are you doing here? Foreigners aren’t allowed in this building!

Ask what he’s doing with Olreka’s keys in this hands and hundreds of diagrams and maps scattered all over the floor.

The room was like this when I came in, and the keys were on the ground amongst all the diagrams. Someone must have stolen them from Olreka. Oh, the guard is coming. Could you explain the situation? I’ve got to run.

Stand up to the guard.

  • Defeat 1 Pazpartu Guardian in a single fight
This fight can be done with a team. You must defeat the Pazpartu Guardian. He has 33,000 HP and summons Strongboxers that are more powerful than usual. Other characters can only help you if they also have this quest in progress, or have already completed it.
Dialog

What’s going on here? You, the intruder... What are you doing with Olreka’s keys? Are you the one that attacked him?

Explain the situation.

Don’t treat me like a Iop! You’re going to regret attacking a member of the Alloyance!

Try to bring the guard under control.
Hope that back-up arrives very soon so you can bring the guard under control.
