Obtaining[]
Talk to Gein the Silent at [-4,0] in The Temple of Sram.
Step 1: It's in the Bag[]
- Gein is interested in an old legend recorded in the Historibus Compendium, a book kept in the Xelorium Museum. So he's asked you to go and learn a bit more about the legend, and verify if it really tells of a box with terrible power...
- Talk to Museum Guardian
- Head to Xelorium. Navigate to [3,6] in the Gonebyways and use the Watch Running Fast to be taken to [3,1] in Present Day. If you recieve a message about destination not free move to a different square and try again. Go inside the museum. While inside, you will be followed by a Iop, but you can ignore this. Speak to the museum guardian and ask to consult the Historibus Compendium.
- Read the Historibus Compendium
- Go inside the doorway on the left side of the trio of doorways. The book will be in front of you on a pedestal.
- Talk to Museum Guardian again
- Find the Altdemon who vandalised the book
- Go to [1,2] (in Xelorium).
- Defeat 1 The Devourer of Books in a single fight
- This fight must be done alone. You must defeat The Devourer of Books. It uses some powerful long-range spells, but needs a line-of-sight to hit you. It also has minimum range, meaning that it can't attack you if you are too close to it. You could try to hide behind walls to avoid its attacks until it gets close, then run near it and keep it close by locking it or reducing its MP. Alternatively you could just use very long-range spells and stay very far away from it, either way don't fight it recklessly and be ready for a challenge.
- Question the Devourer of Books
- Go to the Voyagers' Outpost and find out about Olivie Frange
- Go to back to the Gonebyways by using the Watch Running Slow and navigate to [1,6]. If you recieve a message about destination not free move to a different square and try again. Head inside of the outpost and talk to Corporal Tart.
- Talk to Hyperia Shrik
- Navigate to [4,6] in the Gonebyways and use the Watch Running Fast to be taken to [4,1] in Present Day. If you recieve a message about destination not free move to a different square and try again. Head to [6,-1] in Present Day and use the Watch Running Slow to be taken to [6,4] in the Gonebyways. Head to [7,3] and talk to Hyperia.
- Collect 4 Pieces of Time
- You must go to 4 different maps and win 4 different fights. The maps are [2,5] in the Gonebyways, [4,2] in the Present Day, [3,-4] (inside the building) in the Uncertain Future and [6,-4] in the Uncertain Future. Use the map on the page for Xelorium to assist you in navigating.
- Find the map: Methea's Stone room
- Go to back to [7,3] (in Xelorium) and talk to Hyperia Shrik again. You don't need a key to enter the Megalith for this quest. Once inside the Megalith, walk onto the Roman Numeral tile that corresponds with the current in-game hour. For example, if the current in-game hour is 03:00-03:59 or 15:00-15:59 you would step on the III tile. You can use the /time command to see what the current in-game time and date is.
