Kama is the currency of Amakna. They are earned by defeating monsters, selling items and completing certain quests. Kama's most useful feature is that it has no weight. Meaning a player can carry million kama as easily he can carry ten. This makes an ideal currency to be used in both small and large transactions.

The symbol for kama is styled K. Any NPC or other game price using K means kama. The suffix 'k' means 1000 of something if it refers to an object. ('10k wheat' means 10,000 wheat.) When it refers to the currency, a k is used to represent normal units and double k ("kk") is used to indicate that the item price is --Thousand. For example, someone is buying a tofu feather for 20k. This means 20 kamas, whereas if he had said 20kk it would have meant 20,000 kamas.

VALUE OF KAMA Kama behaves much like real currency (ie. Dollar or Euro) in that it is subject to inflationary forces and market conditions in the Servers. Prices and thus value of Kama can vary greatly between different game servers. Kama has little or no intrinsic value within the game except those few transactions by NPC (ie. you can sell a gobbal headgear for 1 kama to an NPC or Kama cost to unlearn spells), thus most of its value is derived by the fact that players will transact with Kama for items and gears with some in-game utility. However unlike real currency there is no "offical"(government) backing. This should be kept in mind when deciding on a strategy to hoard Kama long term.
