Most of the information is here, but it is still incomplete. If you know any of the stuff that isn't here, add it. An incomplete page is a sad page.

  • Kaiyo - Deals ~600 earth damage to a single target in two hits

Strategy[]

  • At the start of the fight the boss will become invulnerable.
  • On its first turn it will summon two Kitsounebi, these are the key to making the boss become vulnerable to damage. The Kitsounebi will go invisible on their second turn and have a lot of MP. Each turn they will place a blue glyph before they move. Standing on this glyph will swap the boss with the Kitsounebi that placed it. You can also dispell the invisibility with the island special lantern spell.
  • In order to make the boss vulnerable, you have to kill the two Kitsounebi in the same round. You will likely have to do some damage to them in prior rounds to make this possible. The easiest way to approach this is to walk on the glyphs to cause the boss to swap with the Kitsounebi so that you can find their exact location.
    • If you only kill one Kitsounebi before Koumiho's turn she will immediately summon it again and causes ~2,500 air damage to all characters.
  • Once you kill the Kitsounebi and cause the boss to become vulnerable, the boss will enter a new state and revive one of its allies if you have killed any of them (will summon an entirely new ally if you do the boss first). It will also go invisible and run away. One turn after going invisible, it will be healed for 15% of its HP, gain a shield equal to 30% of its max HP, and 250 power.
  • It is easiest to kill the boss' allies before attemping to kill the boss itself. Because the Medora reflects a significant amount of damage, saving that to be the third enemy you kill can reduce the risk of wiping early in the fight to enemy damage.
