Notes

  • In the new updates Prespic set no longer reduces damage like it used to. Now it reflects damage back but you still take damage. Say your set reflects 13 and a monster attacks you for 14 hitpoints, the monster will take 13 damage (minus whatever resists) but you will still receive 14 hitpoints of damage.

The Prespic Set pieces are dropped by Prespics.

The main benefit is a huge Wisdom bonus, combined with reflection and extra damage. This is an extremely popular set for mid~level characters from the time the first pieces are useable well into the 60's and 70's.

When Prespic Set (Hat, Cloak, Belt & Ring) & Bandit Set (Amulet, Ring, Daggers) are combined together (excluding the Bandit Set belt), a very good set combination is created. With a total of about 16~21 damage added to any weapon or spell, no matter what element, it will give lots of damage. This combination is HIGHLY common:

The Hat and Cloak are popular choices for leveling Costumagus. As such, they can be often be found in the sellrooms with 1 or 2 greater wisdom stats than shown here.

The ring is also easily leveled to +10-12 wisdom by a Jewelmagus, making this set all the better for lower level users.

The Prespic Set is also highly common for the counter/wisdom-based Xelor. For the more wisdom you have, the more damage you can reflect. Using this technique, Xelors often aquire perfect or near perfect sets to deflect a large amount of damage back towards their enemy. Before 1.17 they would also take very little, or no damage, but due to the changes in the prespic set, this is no longer the case.
