Unlike Percent Resistances, Linear Resistances do not have a limit.

History[]
Before the introduction of Elements, damage (and so Resistance) was split into Physical (now Neutral and Earth) and Magical (now Fire, Water and Air). Hence most spells and equipment that previously gave Physical Resistance now give Neutral and Earth Elemental Resistance (Fixed) and Magical Resistance is now Fire, Water and Air Elemental Resistance (Fixed).
