Obtaining[]

Talk to Master of Pandawushu at [20,-31] in Pandala Village after Yonkwa: Path of the Sabre.

You will need to wait 24 hours after completing Yonkwa: Path of the Sabre to begin this quest. See your Rank Attainment (quest item) for time tracking.

Step 1: Sankwa: Path of the Shield[]

The path of the shield gave rise to Pandasiman, the quintessential art of self-defence used by primitive Pandawas. Now it's your turn to follow in the footsteps of fighting art most emblematic of Pandala Island.
  • Talk to Teipang
Immaculate Kwapa Carapace is a quest item dropped by monsters in Akwadala. The base acquisition rate is 3%. Teipang will then craft you a Pandasiman Training Shield (-10 dodge and -10 lock)
  • Get a guard's attention by breaking a piece of pottery
Click on the pottery at [25, -25]. A colossal Ishibig Pak will appear.
  • Equipped with your shield, defeat the Colossal Ishibig Pak

Colossal Ishibig Pak starts his turn in invulnerable state and will probably lock you.

Sample Fight can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/Tc2JAnxC34Q Timestamp: (22:53)

Mechanics: To make it vulnerable, you need to escape from the dodge-lock every turn (do not teleport or push it away). When escaped, you will be pushed back 5 cells and Cut Stones are summoned, each making Ishibig Pak lose 20 dodge and lock. It will then be easier to escape from dodge-lock every turn and you will have more AP left for attacking.

Strategy:

  • If it can't lock you anymore, simply destroy a few Cut Stones.
  • Make sure to have enough dodge to escape from dodge-lock. Even if you lose 8 AP in the first round, it will be easier afterwards. In my experience, 50 dodge or more works.
  • Keep the Ishibig Pak from destroying the stones to help maintain the -lock debuff on it. This way you can dodge better

Tips:

  • Use a Cawwot Summon/Summons to keep you from being pushed too far away
  • It helps to equip a Ranged Weapon
  • Resetting Stats to Agility also helps
  • Take proof of your victory to Teipang
  • Give the Master of Pandawushu a report on your progress

This works the same as in Under the Northern Lights:

  • You will enter a fight against him, he has 2000 health and is invulnerable.
  • Sample Fight can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/Tc2JAnxC34Q Timestamp: (27:20)

Mechanics: To remove invulnerability, you must make him dodge you and lose MP/AP.

  • Throughout the fight he places glyphs, if you stand on said glyph and hit him, it will remove 10 dodge infinitely.
  • The goal is to remove dodge to the point where he loses AP/MP from moving away from you, and then you can kill him. (He has ~180 dodge)

Note: If Kwatimbe gets to much -dodge you going to be stuck, advise only -150 dodge.

  • Kwatimbe will regain invulnerability and dodge 2 turns after losing it, at which point you will have to repeat the previous steps again.
  • Check in with Master Kwatimbe
  • Talk to Master of Pandawushu again
