- Ballot Balls: Gain 50 power per ally alive.
- Nutcracker: Inflicts 200 earth damage and applies a 200 power penalty for 1 turn. 4 Range.
- Ball Kick : Inflicts 100 earth damage and pushes the target back 2 squares. 2 Range
- Uchimizu: Inflicts 150 water damage to the target and to the 3 squares behind it. 10 Range
- Bowling alley: Inflicts 100 neutral damage and pushes the target back 4 squares, the Tanukoui San also gains 150 push damage for 1 turn (he uses this spell only in phase 2). 6 Range.
- Tibagin: The Tanukoui San teleports to the target square, inflicts 200 fire damage and removes 1 turn of spell from enemies in a size 2 circle area around him (he uses this spell only in phase 3). 8 Range maximum.
Strategy[]
The Tanukouï San has 3 phases with health thresholds (recognizable by the Roman numeral I, II, or III above its head) and X.5 phases for each phase which, if you do not pass it in the phase next before the start of his next tu turn, the boss will heal 1xxx (20% HP approx max) at the beginning of his turn.
Here is the list of the different phases of Tanukouï San (with a 4 loot fight):
- Threshold 1: Full HP.
- Threshold 1.5: 4575 HP (healing of 1xxx HP if you do not pass it in phase 2).
- Threshold 2: 4200 HP (approximately).
- Threshold 2.5: 2575 HP (approximately) (healing of 1xxx hp if you do not pass it to phase 3).
- Threshold 3: 2200 HP (approximately).
- Threshold 3.5: 800 HP (approximately) (healing of 1xxx hp if you do not kill him).
Like the monsters in the dungeon, the Tanukouï San also has a geoglyph but it is scalable! Indeed its glyph will change each time it is in one of its three phases. Thus its geoglyph will have a different shape if it is in phase I, in phase II or in phase III:
- In phase I: Its geoglyph is a square with a side 7x7.
- In phase II: Its geoglyph is an even checkerboard of radius 6.
- In phase III: Its glyph is an infinite star ( infinite line and diagonal).
Placement classes (Pandawa, Cra, Eliotrope, Xelor, etc…) are recommended for this dungeon in order to easily remove the Invulnerable state from monsters and the Boss.
For this fight, move the Tanukouï San and the monsters off the geoglyphs in order to remove their Invulnerable state. Try to keep the monsters away from each other as much as possible to avoid several overlapping geoglyphs, and watch out for Tanukouï San since its geoglyph is the largest. Kill the other mobs first so you can fully focus on the Tanukouï San when he's alone. If you get the first hit, prepare your damage turns well so that when Tanukouï San goes into a phase X.5, you have enough damage before it plays to pass it into the next phase to stop it. You will need to deal and additional 400-500 more damage to get it from one X.5 phase to the next one.
