It's still intact, just like I thought. My power is still sealed within it... I just hope it's the same for the other totems.
Out of the Four of us, the Guardian of the East was the most ambitious, as well as the most likely to bend the rules of strict morality when she was in a fix. She paid for her unscrupulousness and cruelty with her life, but she's still with us in the World of Twelve. You'd better not wait too long before you dig up her totem; she really didn't see eye to eye with Furye, and she might try to stick a spanner in the works.
You must set your sights on Frigost Island and travel to Alma's Cradle to find Badmorva. The urn containing her ashes has to be located somewhere along the shore. Speak to the spectre of the sorceress to get her Mark. She'll certainly ask for something in return; Badmorva was never the witch to do something for nothing.>
<Once you have the Mark, look for the Altar of the East. You may want to leave Amakna and cross the Asse Sea in the direction of the rising sun. By the way, you will need Viti's blessing to have any chance of finding the Totem of the East.

Step 1: The Mean Ol' Witch of the East[]

- Click the barrel at . (Players must have first beaten The Royal Pingwin's Excavation and Royal Mastogob's Greenhouse to gain Access to Alma's Cradle zone).

You dare challenge meeeee? You are not warriors! You're Lousy Pigs! Lousy Piiiigs, all of you! Curse you all! *gestures wildly at the air in front of her*
abruptly stops gesticulating That is a rather unusual request... Who sent you? Egh the Necromancer? Archbishop Erzal? Fladnag the Yerg?
Well, bless my soul and call me Susan! That old battleaxe hasn't jacked it all in yet? Some people really do hang on to the bitter end, don't they... The old bat'll outlive us all, ha ha ha! And what does Meriana want with my Mark? I advise you not to tell any tall tales, my darling little Tofu-brain, or I'll set a curse on you so strong your descendants will still be whimpering generations hence.

Good. In the future, they'll think twice before questioning my orders. I can neither kill them or curse them, so sometimes I have trouble making them toe the line. You wanted my mark, didn't you? Take it and get lost. If you lurk about here too long, I might give in to the urge to curse you.

Viti, Lord of the Rising Sun, pardon my sins and the errant ways of my people. They know not what they do.
Hail to thee, adventurer. Repent and join in my prayers. The god of Celestial Awakening is not easy to satisfy, and his ire can be devastating. But if you have a pure heart, you have a chance of finding redemption.
We all would wish to receive such a blessing. Kneel down and pray. After several years have run their course, Viti will hear your prayer... perhaps. He is very busy, you see.
In that case, I suggest another approach. Prove your faith to Viti. Trounce dungeon keepers while brandishing his idols. If you win these battles, you'll receive the blessing you seek as a reward.
But it's not enough to merely beat your opponents – your victories must be clear and resounding. The raging clamour of your battles must be heard all the way to Ingloriom! I've heard that a Huppermage who's an idol specialist has set up shop near the Amakna church. I'm sure she'll be able to help you create the idols you'll need for these feats. |
- You'll need to finish the quest Vini's Blessing to continue on to the next step.
- You have received 1 'Viti's Blessing'.
- The place where the Totem of the East is buried appears clearly in your mind.
- Unearth the Totem of the East.
- Equip Terra Clan Shovel
- You have received 1 'Totem of the East'.
- You have lost 1 'Viti's Blessing'.
- You have lost 1 'Badmorva's Mark'.
- Talk to Meriana again

I was afraid Badmorva wouldn't cooperate... I hope she didn't demand too much of you. Now then, if you are ready to unearth the next totem, the Totem of the North, you'll need Mama Ayuto's sign. Ayuto's a friend, so she'll be happy to give you her Mark.
As for the Altar of the North, I should think it would lie on Frigost... The god Thomahon likes the cold, and Frigost is nothing if not that. You'll have need of his blessing if you're to find the place where the totem lies buried.
