This forest existed long before the Twelvians arrived, and will continue long after they've gone.

Mention your last meeting.

I remember you. Thanks to you, war between the soldiers of Amakna and the Arak-hai was avoided. It is important to preserve the delicate balance of life in these parts. The Treechnid Forest must never become a battlefield. There is something troubling me at present. Maybe you can help me.

Keep listening.

The trees and plants usually tell me everything that is happening in the woods. They tell me of the wind slipping over their branches, of insects gathering under their roots, of reckless adventurers who sleep in circles of mushrooms. But recently they have been quiet, barely telling me anything. It's as if they are hiding something from me.

Obviously it is difficult for me to find out what's going on, but perhaps the plants would be more willing to confide in a stranger... someone like you, maybe?

*touches your forehead for a few seconds* There, now you have the power of Shrubbish, the ability to talk to the plants and trees. It is only temporary. You will not find many with enough patience to hold long conversations with the Sylvan folk without losing the will to live. I have marked the places where you are more likely to find plants who are accepting of Twelvians. Speak to them and try to find out what they are hiding from me.

Go and meet the plant beings of the Dark Forest.
You will receive 1 Shrubbish.

Step 1: The Woods Have Ears[]

Something is amiss in the Dark Forest. Silvosse has granted you the power to speak to plants so you can investigate.
Note: the 5 steps above can be done in any order. These steps require you to have Shrubbish. Shrubbish will disappear as soon as you start a fight. If you lose Shrubbish you can talk to Silvosse to receive a new one.
Do not exit the dungeon before updating this quest step.
You will receive 1 Enchanted Stone.
Go to [-11,-11] and click on the interactive well.
You will lose 1 Enchanted Stone.
  • Move away from the well, then return to surprise the Doll
Change the map and return to [-11,-11].
If you choose the dialogue option to flee away, you will be teleported to 2 maps down to [-11,-9].
Else you will start a fight against 1 The Schemer (monster), 1 Bonesetter Bulb and 1 Murderous Bulb.
Other characters can join the fight.
You will drop 1 Enchanted Stone.
You will lose 1 Enchanted Stone.
