See Mechanics for general info about punishments. This spell will allow a Sacrier to maintain a certain amount of HP for the duration of the punishment. The Sacrier will obviously start losing HP if he/she receives more damage than the spell's capped value. This spell is best used in tandem with Punishment. When the Sacrier reaches the desired HP (usually 50% of the Sacrier's HP), the Sacrier can cast Vital Punishment to attempt to remain at that HP or stay close to it. This will allow the Sacrier to maximize Punishment damage for as long as possible. This spell can also be used as a last ditch effort to stay alive for an extra few turns before dying, but the Vitality effect does not apply until after the Sacrier takes damage. That is to say, the Sacrier might die before receiving the Vitality bonus.

History[]

As from 1.27.0, this spell replaces Wise Punishment.
